Everyone has a wish list for their dream home filled with “must-have” items. In this series, I’ll fill you in on my own “must-have” items – and hopefully show you that in some cases they’re more attainable than you think! – Gabrielle, Savvy Home
Hans Wegner, probably best known for his iconic wishbone chair, is the undisputed mid-century master of Danish chair design. He was discovered by Americans thanks to his classic Wegner chair (or elbow chair) in the 1950’s. Today, though his designs are still sold in specialty design stores around the world, they have also been adapted, copied and served as inspirations for many mid-century style dining chairs. That’s lucky for those of us who can’t fork out 500-1000$ on a single dining chair. I especially love wishbone chairs used in breakfast nooks in light finishes. Which Hans Wegner inspired chair would you choose?
