You want to know my recipe for a great decor? Well it’s right here, in this Amsterdam loft.
First take a great space with soaring ceilings and tons of natural light.
Then add beautifully worn parquet floors either in a herringbone or square pattern.
Sprinkle some touches of black to accentuate special features of the space such as the two fireplaces facing each other in a symmetrical and gorgeous way.
Measure in a healthy dose of antiques and contemporary furniture, with of course a yellow velvet sofa.
Finish with plants strewn in every corner or on top of every surface for a lived-in and not too “placed and proper” look. Oh and a suspended swing is a definite added bonus, if you have the room for it to swing and the proper rafters on which to suspend it.
The result is stunning and yet it feels natural and curated over time rather that purchased off the page of a catalog. Pure perfection!
