It is said that at birth, babies see shapes by following the lines where light and dark meet. Newborns can only focus about eight to 12 inches from their face, and they see only black, white and gray. Why then are we collectively so reticent in introducing black into a nursery’s colour scheme? Despite the obvious ill omen superstitious once associated with the colour black, we have now come to terms with the fact that not only is it a modern and timeless choice, but it will evolve really well with the child too, without having you repainting every other year to follow your child’s current tastes and interests.
